Through the gateway of feeling your weakness,
lies your strength.
Through the gateway of feeling your pain,
lies your pleasure and joy.
Through the gateway of feeling your fear,
lies your security and safety.
Through the gateway of feeling your loneliness,
lies your capacity to have fulfillment, love
and companionship.
Through the gateway of your hopelessness,
lies true and justified hope.
Through the gateway of accepting the lacks in
your childhood,
lies your fulfillment now."

(Lecture #190)
My Work.
My work is as a private practice Licensed Professional Counselor and Pathwork Helper in the State of Michigan. I have worked with college students at a community college and with clients from ages 19 to 65 from my home office. The presenting issues have included anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, career difficulties, decision making, relationship struggles and life changes to name a few. I also helped many women experiencing domestic violence and sexual assault. The counseling styles I use include humanistic and person-centered with a holistic approach using the body with the mind. Emotional blocks are held in the body from past traumas and our nervous systems are conditioned from early fetal development. I practice Somatic Experiencing Therapy to help clients with centering, grounding and healing techniques toward inner connection and calm. Other forms of therapy include psycho-dynamic, mindfulness techniques and the creative arts to find the underlying roots of the presenting issues. Developing feelings of safety and grounding are important as we begin to work together. Goals and treatment follow your real needs. I hope to have the opportunity to meet you! |
